Built Environment Wales: sessions announced

On 22 June the Built Environment regional conference series will come to Cardiff Metropolitan University. The theme of Performance, Compliance and Safety will see us discuss some of the key issues affecting the sector, including the duty holding regime and competence, construction product testing and certification, and liability and enforcement. With a focus on the regulations and subjects that are directly affecting construction professionals in Wales, we are delighted to confirm that representatives from the Welsh government will be joining us.

Session Four will have a particular focus on achieving low or zero carbon in practice, and you will hear from five speakers from a sustainability background including Dr Jo Atkinson, Practice Manager for Buildings at Energy Systems Catapult; Stuart Fairlie, Managing Director at Elmhurst Energy; and representatives from the Cardiff Living project, who will discuss their major regeneration project that is improving housing stock throughout Cardiff.

Each session will conclude with a lively debate in the form of a Q&A panel. Take this opportunity to interact with our expert speakers, discover answers and start building a better tomorrow.
