CABE's scope extension scheme

Launched with the full approval of the Building Safety Regulator, CABE’s Scope Extension Scheme has been designed to give registered building inspectors a route to evidence competence to undertake restricted functions on additional building categories.

To apply, candidates must already hold certification via the CABE Building Inspector Competence Assessment Scheme and will need to submit specific documentation and attend a professional review interview.
