Residential Surveyor Section launched

In June, CABE launched its Residential Surveyor Section (RSS), a new specialist register designed to offer residential surveyors the option of undergoing an additional level of competence assessment.

The RSS sets a benchmark for those working in residential surveying. Built around robust competence standards and qualifications, the RSS will provide homeowners, landlords and commercial clients with the confidence to appoint technically competent surveyors who they know are operating within a solid ethical framework. There are three levels of RSS membership on offer, each demonstrating your specialist knowledge (see table below).

As a CABE member, you must hold the appropriate level of grade to apply for the RSS, but you can opt to upgrade your CABE membership during the section application process.
