Vinayak Pradhan C.Arb FCIArb
Director of Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Malaysia  

CABE wishes to pay tribute to respected friend Vinayak Pradhan on his passing on 8 March 2020.

His distinguished career spanned 45 years with Malaysia’s top legal firm Skrine, as a Partner and Consultant, before taking up the appointment as the Director of the AIAC in 2018. He was the first Malaysian and Asian to serve as International President on the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was the founding Chair of CIArb Malaysia Branch.

He was also a member of many international commissions including the United Nations Compensation Commission and the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission, as well as Vice Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. He was a great friend, always charming with a sense of humour and generous with his time and knowledge. He will be greatly missed.
