Reversing the stereotype
I’ve spent more than 25 years in the construction industry and for the past nine of those, it has been my mission to focus on mental health. The industry is perceived to be a stressful working environment. It has bred a culture where men take on a ‘macho’ persona, which ultimately leads to them bottling up their emotions and not seeking help. I should know, I’ve been there.
