Changes to the Building Regulations in England

Circulars for Parts L and F and introducing new Parts O and S and updated or new Approved Documents are available.

Alongside the publication of these regulations, the government has also published new statutory guidance in the form of five new Approved Documents. The changes that will be delivered through the new regulations and statutory guidance relate to Part L (conservation of fuel and power), Part F (ventilation) and a new Part O (overheating) of the Building Regulations. Part S Amendment Regulations have been laid as part of the response to a consultation in 2019 on electric vehicle charging in residential and non-residential buildings.
