New tactile standard proposed

The Tactile Information Co-ordination Group is working on a proposal for a new standard. Its purpose will be to ensure clarity and consistency in the provision of tactile information, thereby ensuring familiarity and consistency for users.
The standard will provide clarity on the different formats tactile information can take and the circumstances in which they are recommended. The standard covers the consistency of the materials and symbols used, the quality and legibility of information in different situations, and the most suitable locations for tactile information.
