Proposal for mandatory electrical safety checks in social housing

Government draft regulations could see mandatory electrical safety checks for England’s social housing.
The Social Housing Draft (Regulation) Bill removes an inequality in the law whereby private tenants are protected by mandatory electrical safety checks every fi ve years but social tenants are not.
