Raft of safety consultations for Wales

The Welsh government is seeking views on the principles and standards of behaviour that building control approvers and registered building inspectors will need to adhere to. To give your views, building control approvers should visit bit.ly/govwales_professional while registered building inspectors can go to bit.ly/govwales_conduct

The government is also consulting on the draft definition of a higher-risk building for the design and construction elements of the new safety regime. The proposals include a definition as a building at least 18 metres in height or which has at least seven storeys and contains at least one residential unit, or is a hospital or care home. Take part at bit.ly/govwales_safety

The government is also seeking views on timings for changes to the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. Take part in the consultation at bit.ly/govwales_BSA
