Environmental professionals gathered in Liverpool in June to celebrate the achievements of those going above and beyond through the SocEnv Awards.
The entries this year showcased the many outstanding environmental professionals working hard to protect, preserve or enhance the environment, including CABE member Lam Tsz Kai CEnv MCABE C.Build E, who was nominated for the Rising Star Award 2025.
Alongside the ceremony, the panel of Chartered Environmentalists used this year’s World Environment Day theme of ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’ to explore how plastic pollution can be addressed at a policy level, domestically and at international scale. The awards also showcased the great work being done locally, with a presentation from Mersey Rivers Trust on its work to clean up the rivers in the Mersey Catchment.
