Welsh Government commits £100m to skills
In January, the Welsh government announced its final budget for 2026-27.
Within the £1.2bn pot, it committed a further £100m of revenue and capital funding, which will support Welsh government priorities including apprenticeships and further education.
Not long after this announcement the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) hosted its Skills and Training Conference in Cardiff, which gave a chance for employers and training providers to network with like-minded individuals, and for CITB to speak with the industry in person throughout the day.
