SocEnv celebrates 20 years

The Society for the Environment celebrated its 20-year anniversary and awards on 4 June.

The event was held on the eve of World Environment Day, an annual UN initiative to bring awareness and action to an important environmental issue. SocEnv brought together experts on the chosen theme for 2024 – land restoration, desertification and drought resilience. The panel discussion referred to SocEnv’s Soils and Stones progress report and its calls to action on soil health and reuse. Following discussions, the awards showcased those who have gone above and beyond – receiving a record number of entries for the Environmental Professional of the Year and Rising Star categories.
