Fellow grade reopens

CABE has relaunched its Fellow grade (FCABE) with a clearer, more robust set of criteria and a strengthened application process.

Fellowship continues to recognise sustained, senior-level impact in the built environment. Fellows demonstrate significant responsibility or recognised technical authority, visible leadership, wider contribution to the profession and society and a commitment to ethics, CPD and competency.

To apply, you will need at least three years’ continuous CABE Chartered Building Engineer (MCABE C.Build E) membership and must be in good standing. The updated application focuses on evidence: an initial online form and declarations, two supporters’ declarations, a Fellowship-focused CV (two to three pages) and an Experience Report covering seniority/responsibility and wider sector contribution, plus a Professional Development Plan and a reflective CPD record for the past three years mapped to CABE standards.

Applications are assessed by the Association’s Membership & Professional Standards Committee, with interviews used where clarification is needed. If you’re working at senior level and making a lasting contribution to building engineering, do consider applying.
