Award winners announced

The winners of the 2026 Emerging Talent Awards were announced at The UK Concrete Show.

Harshita Garg, Technical Manager at Brett Concrete, was the winner of the Materials Specialist category. She was recognised for her technical excellence in concrete mix design, quality control and materials optimisation.

Steve Brown, Principal Engineer at Ramboll UK, won the Design Excellence category. He was recognised for his role in advancing low-carbon concrete design through his work on One North Quay.

Tom Weston, Batching and Quality Control, Essex Precast Ltd, was the winner of the Precast & Offsite category. He was recognised for the impact he has made at Essex Precast’s purpose-built batching facility TITAN PROCAST.

Finally, Ansu Mary Alex, Research and Development Associate at Leiths (Scotland) Ltd, won the Sustainability category. She was recognised for her work in developing and advancing low-carbon construction materials.
