Digitisation has meant a rapidly increasing need for data collection, computing and storage driven by the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G Edge computing. The volume of data produced will continue to grow exponentially and that data has to be processed close to its source (edge computing) due to, among other factors, efficiency and latency times.
