A new standard for low carbon retrofit projects
PAS 2035 ushers in a new standard for low carbon retrofit projects. Stuart Fairlie, Managing Director of Elmhurst Energy, discusses it with Ashley Crawford, Chief Executive of Complete Certification Ltd.
It’s early days in the life of PAS 2035 and the specialist retrofit roles it has created. The new standard for retrofit has been adopted at a relatively small scale so far, being required only for ECO3, the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund Demonstrator and Phase 2 of the Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery scheme. PAS 2035 has introduced a number of new roles, including those of retrofit assessor and retrofit coordinator – both of which need to be part of a TrustMark-approved accreditation scheme and must be used for each PAS 2035 project.
