CHAS launches a new verification service

Supply chain compliance organisation CHAS has launched a new verification service that enables construction material suppliers to showcase their commitment to operating credibly, safely and ethically.

Named Verified Supplier, it will enable suppliers to demonstrate compliance across a range of risk management areas via a single verification, reducing the duplication of prequalification questionnaires and making it faster and easier to pre-qualify for contracts across the UK. As well as demonstrating commitment to quality practices and processes, it will help highlight compliance with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, the Modern Slavery Act 2015, the Environment Act 2021 and the Equality Act 2010.

CHAS Managing Director Ian McKinnon said: “The launch of Verified Supplier underlines CHAS’s commitment to simplifying prequalification in the construction industry while raising risk management standards and ensuring that responsible businesses thrive.”
