As we all embrace the challenges of delivering net zero carbon buildings by 2050, the London Energy Transformation Initiative’s (LETI) new Client Guide for Net Zero Carbon Buildings pulls together key information from a number of LETI publications and gives advice on how to put the client, and the funders, at the centre of the project and encourages them to commit to a net zero carbon project.

Covering how building projects need to change, and the importance of embracing net zero carbon at the beginning of a project, the guide looks at ways in which all stages of a construction project – briefing, designing, procuring, constructing, occupying, managing and valuing – could adapt to deliver projects that are more sustainable.

The guide will help to create add project value and avoid stranded projects.

CABE, working with the Society for the Environment, is encouraging all construction professionals to start considering sustainability at the very beginning of the project. By putting sustainability front and centre of a project we can ensure that the industry delivers net zero carbon building by 2050.
